The loop in five moves
- Throw the net into water and let it land.
- Reel it in; the fish go into the cooler.
- Tag and sell the ones you do not want, keep the best.
- Put the best into the showcase pool, which pays every second.
- Spend the cash on the net, then the showcase, then helpers.
Everything else in the game — pets, pearls, bosses, crews — hangs off that loop.
Move 1: throw the net
Aim into open water rather than into the dock structures. In the recorded tutorial, the game asks you to release the net and then place it in the water; nothing else about the first cast is gated.
The net catches a spread of fish per cast, and the spread is decided by the net's size and by your luck stat. That is why the net is the first upgrade: it changes the input to every later step.
Move 2: sell through the cooler
The cooler is your buffer. Fish land there, you can equip from there, and you can sell from there in batches.
Two habits pay off immediately:
- Sell commons freely. They fill slots you need for better fish.
- Keep duplicates of anything you intend to fuse. Ten of the same fish become one Shiny, and eight Shiny become one Gold.
If you sell everything the moment you catch it, the fusion ladder never happens.
Move 3: fill the showcase
The showcase is the part of the game that pays while you are not playing. Each fish you place earns cash every second, and later passes multiply that number.
Put your single best fish in first rather than spreading three mediocre ones across three slots. A single Apex-class fish was shown paying around 200K where a Mythic paid around 10K in the same session, so slot quality dominates slot count early.
Then buy slots, not fish. Showcase slots are the cheapest multiplier you can add without Robux.
Move 4: upgrade in the right order
Net, then showcase, then helper. The tutorial's first upgrade is the net and the recorded sessions never contradict that order.
The full reasoning, including when to flip the order and which purchases to skip, is on the upgrade page. The short version: helpers inherit your luck and net quality, so they pay best after those two are already up.
Move 5: take the first rebirth
The game asks for a rebirth inside the tutorial. Take it. The skill tree opens right after, and the first nodes are net upgrades, which means the rebirth is how you get permanent power rather than a reset you have to climb back from.
Everything about later rebirths, including the timing test, is on the rebirth page.
When each system matters
| System | When it starts to matter | Where it lives |
|---|---|---|
| Net upgrades | Immediately | Dock upgrade panel |
| Showcase | After your first Mythic or better | Base pool |
| Codes | Immediately, before your first purchase | In-game code box |
| Crates and pets | After your showcase pays for itself | Shop |
| Fusion | Once you hold ten duplicates | Cooler |
| Helpers | After about one upgrade cycle | Dock helper stand |
| Rebirth | When the next upgrade outruns a session | Hub |
| Crews and bosses | After your first rebirth | Hub |
The first hour, in order
- Finish the tutorial without spending.
- Redeem the codes. Cash codes are the single fastest boost available at minute five.
- Put your best fish in the showcase.
- Upgrade the net once, then stop and watch which rarities start appearing.
- Buy the first helper when the net's next tier costs more than a session earns.
- Take the rebirth the game offers, then spend the first skill point on the net branch.
If you follow only one line of this page: redeem the codes before you buy anything, and put a fish in the showcase before you buy a helper.
